Key community stakeholders and policy decision makers are invited to come together with young people and concerned residents to discuss gang prevention and underage drinking prevention in rural Fresno County. The event is hosted by the Faces of Prevention collaborative partners.

April 8, 2008 representatives from Caruthers, Riverdale, Raisin City, Lanare, and Malaga including community organizations, educators, local business, and concerned residents came together to talk about ways to address gang issues in rural Fresno County - in particular unincorporated areas. Notes from the meeting are attached below. A highlight of the meeting is discussion of developing a consortium of schools working collaboratively with community organizations and law enforcement to leverage resources for unincorporated areas of the county. A second meeting is in the planning stages.
