Fresno Mayor's Gang Prevention Initiative Goes High Tech

The Fresno Mayor's Gang Prevention Initiative (MGPI) has information available on the Internet. Click here.

The goal of MGPI is to prevent youth crime, violence and gang involvement while developing a positive working relationship between law enforcement, schools, families, and young people to create a safer community.  In furtherance of the goal, MGPI works closely with law enforcement to identify gang members wanting to leave the lifestyle, helping them gain the necessary skill set to gain employment, and providing services needed to help them become successful and productive citizens.

In addition to the web presence, they can be contacted via a new email address mgpi @ fresno.gov (no spaces).  And lastly, if you would like to refer someone to the program it can be done using an electronic referral form, which can be downloaded here: Referral Form 1-2008.doc (101.00 kb)

For more information on MGPI you can also contact their Referral Hotline at 559.621.2353
