March 26 the Action Planning Team met and developed an outstanding vision and mission statement for the Selma Gang Task Force. Sometimes the process of developing a vision and mission can be slow, tedious, and painful. Not the case here – the group came together expressed where their desires were and through a little trial and error came up with a vision that once read out loud left the group with goose-bumps.
VISION: Empowering the people of Selma, joining together as one, and keeping the community safe for all
MISSION: To be a gang-free community providing coordinated services to create safe and productive environments for our youth and families in their homes, schools, and neighborhoods
